What is BoxKnight?

BoxKnight is a last mile delivery solution that allows online retailers to provide scheduled evening deliveries to their customers.  Our API is incredibly easy to integrate, and customers can choose to ship with us at checkout.  We aim to decrease cart abandonment and improve the customer experience.   

When will I receive my package?

You will receive your package the same day it arrives at our warehouse.  Regular delivery services complete the long leg of the trip, and once your purchase reaches our warehouse, you will immediately be informed by text.  From there, you can decide what time you would like to receive it that night, or postpone the delivery to the next day.  When shipping from select local Montreal retailers, we also offer same day deliveries if the order is processed before 5pm.  

What happens after I schedule my delivery?

A Knight will let you know when they are on their way to deliver your package via text.  You will also be provided with a link that lets you track your Knight's car and route, so that you know exactly where they and your online purchase are the whole time. 

Can I change the time of my delivery?

Of course!  Just text us before 5pm on the day of your delivery letting us know that you would like to change the time at which it arrives, or to postpone it to the next day.  If we receive your request after 5pm, we will try our best to accommodate you.  If you miss a delivery or are not home to receive it at the scheduled time, no worries!  We will reach out to you again the next day to schedule a new delivery time frame. 

What kind of packages does BoxKnight receive?

BoxKnight currently receives small to medium size packages that do not exceed 30 lbs.  Higher fees might apply if the package is heavier. 

As a note, while we do accept perishables, are warehouses are not equipped with means to keep them refrigerated.  Perishables that have gone bad will be discarded after 48 hours.

Also, we are not responsible for, nor condone, using BoxKnight in the exchange or delivery of illegal goods.  If such goods are found in a delivery, the authorities will be contacted immediately.  We also do not accept packages that require a payment upon receipt.  If your delivery requires a payment upon receipt, you will be charged before the delivery.

How do I sign for my package?

Upon delivery to our warehouse, we will sign for you and deliver your package as normal.  Upon delivery to your address, we will also ask for a signature.  If the purchase requires that someone over 18 years old sign, we will ask for a piece of identification.  

Can I pick up my package from your warehouse?

We do not allow on-site pickups.  In the eventuality a delivery is just not possible for "Force Majeure" reasons, we will arrange a warehouse pickup at a very specific time during the day.  A $15 handling fee will apply for this service. 

Can I trust a Knight with my package?

The safety of your online purchases is of utmost importance to us!  That is why we guarantee they are in good hands. We do background checks on every one of our deliverers, or as we like to call them, Knights. We also allow you to track your order live, so that you can know exactly where it is during the entire delivery process.

In the unlikely event that a package is damaged or lost during the BoxKnight delivery process, BoxKnight will honour all existing coverage from the incoming carrier. 

How do I pay?

When making a purchase from a partnered retailer website, complete the checkout process as usual.  The cost of using BoxKnight will be added to your total checkout price, and the retailer will be billed at the end of the month.  If you are using our personal service*, all you have to do is create a profile with us on our website.  Enter your credit card information once, and that's it!  You will only be charged once your package has arrived at our warehouse.  Our payment processing service is 100% secure.

Can I become a Knight?

We are looking for Knights all across the Greater Montreal Area, including Laval and parts of the South Shore! If you are interested in working for an exciting new startup and managing your own schedule, click on "Become a Driver" at the top of your screen. 

Is BoxKnight only available in Montreal?

For the moment, BoxKnight is only available in Montreal, but we are expanding fast!
